Eden Woredekal, born in Ethiopia, is a college junior at Caldwell College, N.J. and a super summer intern. Her experiences on The Relief Bus and at The Hope Center have helped her “to see that God is real,” she said. “This has been the best summer of my entire life!”
One day, a man who was suicidal walked in The Hope Center. Eden began counseling him with a male volunteer. “It was scary at first,” she admitted. “But then when I saw God giving me things to tell him, I saw his life changing right in front of my eyes!” He came in with a beer bottle and insisted on holding unto it. When he was ready to leave, not only did he give up that but also his drugs and even cigarettes. Two weeks later he showed up at a local church. Eden’s counsel had brought him new hope.
